A Leviathan wave swells behind
his ten-meter Catalac catamaran,
lifting him on curling froth,
jutting him on the wave’s crown,
five stories above the trough abyss.
He plummets like a sinker from a pier
as a spinnaker shrouds overhead
and covers him in ocean roar.
