As I have written before, meditation is most difficult for me. Anyway, this one strives to at least describe the attitude conducive to this challenge.
Cell, from Latin cella, “small room, sore room, hut.”
“Go, sit in your cell, and your cell will teach you everything.”
—Abba Moses, Ethiopian forth century monk
Transfuse our souls with the blood of Jesus
and purge our Kardia cells. Fill them with Your
spirit of stillness—to be the Holy of Holies
behind the curtain of skin.
Cleanse each chamber
with your pulsating Name, so:
…when you pray, go into your room and shut the door
and pray to your Father who is unseen (Mt. 6:6.)
